very interesting and nice expirience  it was indeed probably an out of body expirience  ( btw how is your child doing ? )events like your event happens all the times and several people discribed what the doctors did and what equipement they used... Funny is that the mainstream medical institution ignores what happens
I've also had an out of body expirience when I hurt myself against a drawer, I leaned and grab the drawer but it sheaf into my ribs and I couldn't breath anymore, i runned outside because everything became black and then i felt very dizzy and decided to sit and then i went unconciouss... The next thing i remember was me laying on the ground while others were checking what was happening with me... they called my name... And i was viewing myself from above with a distance of 10-15 meters. It felt awsome, like a dream but fully conciouss, full of peace and warmth, i didn't worry about anything and didn't want to come back nor further exist, i was happy the way it was.
then someone touched me and i got sucked back inside of my body at first when i opened my eyes it was very blurry, but then my vision came back and i had troubles rethinking what happened... ppl said i was uncounciouss for minutes although it felt as secunds

anyway that was my expirience
