Who is in the spotlight?
As we live and learn, we inevitably stumble upon many people in our lives that are in need of attention. For a number of those there are self centred reasons and agendas which make it necessary for them to feel like they are in the lime light or even steal it from someone else, for others it may be a genuine medical reason or serious emotional/Medical issues for which they are seen as attention seekers, such as bipolar, which can reek havoc on the emotions, self control, behaviour, and judgement of situations may be impaired and life will be hard to deal with, in general, everyday can be an enormous challenge for them and their families. Many people however glorify their lives to others because their lives are really not all that fantastic, their dull, boring unfulfilled existence needs spicing up, the fantasy that they live in becomes their reality in time, a place that they can take refuge, and something unique that they love to share with others in order to make themselves feel important, or even as a distraction from the real ‘reality’ of their lives. These people often have no regard for others because the focus is more often than not on themselves, except for in the case of true medical issues where the focus may seemingly revolve around a genuinely loving and caring person simply because this issue plagues them and their loved ones daily. Many lime lighters feel depressed, unloved, unwanted, unappreciated…their darker sides may be revealed in another fashion such as finding faults in others, jealousy, lashing out at undeserving others because of their own paranoia which plays with their minds because they expect others to behave and treat them in the same way that they themselves behave, and more often than not it is in a negative way. Being full of self pity, envious, criticizing and judgemental arises often. The spot lighter/ lime lighter may also often have what seems like dual personalities, one of which they are begging for attention, seeking it by way of having others feel pity for them, and telling fantastic dramas for all to hear just to gain this attention that they feel in need of. The other side of the dual personality can often be another negative that they do not wish to reveal to those that have taken the bait on their other more pitiful, hardly done by personality. This personality, when revealed, and finally, one day, be it the day of their own judgement, WILL be revealed and judged, takes on a different face…..One of arrogance, greediness, self absorption, being inconsiderate, demanding, untrusting, and secretly cold. They often want for others to give them what they often do not radiate themselves, that being, consideration, respect and attention in any form. Are you in the spot light? How will you be on your day of judgement ?
Jesus spoke of the judgement day when he walked among men. He said "Every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of' Judgement" Matthew 12:36. "He that rejecteth me and receiveth not my words hath one that judgeth him. The word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day" John 12:48
